Simon Sinek: Why good leaders make you feel safe

Please share what you find valuable:

Simon Sinek, a leadership expert and author, argues that good leaders make their followers feel safe by clearly communicating their vision and values, and by creating an environment in which individuals feel valued and respected. Sinek believes that when people feel safe, they are more likely to trust and follow their leaders, which in turn allows the organization to achieve greater success. Additionally, Sinek argues that good leaders lead by example and demonstrate integrity, which further engenders trust and safety among their followers.

From Tedx.com: What makes a great leader? Management theorist Simon Sinek suggests, it’s someone who makes their employees feel secure, who draws staffers into a circle of trust. But creating trust and safety — especially in an uneven economy — means taking on big responsibility.
